Specifications
Key Features and Benefits
Easy AttachmentQuickly swap between grits without adhesive mess, making them ideal for progressive sanding.
VersatilityAvailable in various sizes, commonly 5-inch (125mm) or 6-inch (150mm) for random orbit sanders, as well as specialized shapes like triangular, rectangular, and "mouse" shapes for corner sanding.
Dust ExtractionMany pads come pre-punched with holes (e.g., 8-hole or 15-hole patterns) to allow debris to pass through, reducing clogging and improving air quality.
MaterialOften constructed from durable aluminum oxide, suitable for wood, metal, plastic, and filler materials.
Cost-EffectiveReusable design allows for long-term use, and worn-out Velcro backing pads on tools can be easily replaced.
Usage Tips
CompatibilityEnsure the sanding discs match the hole pattern of your sander for maximum dust collection.
ReplacementTo replace a worn-out velcro base on a sander, clean the pad thoroughly with alcohol, remove old debris, and ensure a 24-hour curing time for new adhesive-backed Velcro.
StorageAvoid storing sanders face-down to prevent the hook fasteners from bending, which weakens their grip.
Velcro sanding pads are highly recommended for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals for tasks requiring fast, clean, and consistent finishes
